The position works with the Project Team to bring chapters onto the Make-A-Wish Suite of software applications: The Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge, and the Wish Module.  This process entails all aspects of implementation planning, data mapping, conversion, data testing, training, and providing go-live assistance to chapters.  The Implementation Specialist is MAWFA’s key representative on chapter engagements, meaning that a collaborative and partnership based approach to projects is critical to success.  Successful incumbents must be able to demonstrate expertise in Blackbaud applications, partner with other MAWFA team members and chapter staff and lead local project teams.

·         Work with assigned chapters to initiate their conversion, finalize a schedule and timeline, and draft a project plan assigning roles, responsibilities and resources

·         Assist chapters with an information gathering survey and work with staff to develop a formal implementation plan

·         Assist chapters with mapping data from applications currently in use to the MAW Suite of applications

·         Assist the chapters with the preparation test scripts and use case scenarios to test mapped data

·         Assist chapters with test runs of converted data

·         Work with chapter to create their end-user training agenda and deployment plan

·         Assist with final data conversion

·         Assist in the delivery of end-user training

·         Assist chapters with final training and system configuration

·         Assist chapters as they go live

·         Provide a written summary of the overall process making recommendations to improve future conversions

QUALIFICATIONS:

·    Degree in CIS or a related field

·    Expert computer skills with a demonstrated expertise in enterprise-wide applications

·    Minimum of two years experience in implementation planning, data conversion, and training

·    Demonstrated ability to work with and train individuals with diverse skill sets

·    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·    Ability to engage in moderate travel (~25% - 30%)

·    Knowledge of and experience with The Raiser’s Edge is required

·    Knowledge of and experience with The Financial Edge is desired but not a requirement
