We have had a change in the way we want to report comments. We have course/class goals and then have students comments that are in direct relation to those goals. We would like to have a table of sorts to show on the report card. I have yet to find a way to represent that "table" in the comments section that then can be seen/printed on a report card.
I am aware of the skills which would be a way to show this; but at our high school we are not mandating that teachers have the exact same goals for each class. Yes we have general guide lines but to put them in black and white is something we are not ready for. So if there is anyone out there that can show a table of somekind on a report card please let me know. Your help/guidance would greatly be appreciated.

Melissa - Before I tell you about us - have you called the Customer Support people to ask about this? They may be able to help you find a solution that works within the parameters of the "standard" reports in Education Edge.if not - we have a similar sitution with the goals for the class set up as Skills with ratings attached - and then comments from the teacher that relate to each student. We solved this issue by creating a custom report card using Crystal Reports. I pull data from the skills and comments sections only - we don't use grades. However - in the export file I put together - the grade field is included. The Crystal Report is the only solution we found that would include the skills, our ratings table, and the comments for each student. I could share the parameters - if that would help.Candace Chesler
Hi Melissa,
You can represent this table in the Summary/Notes tab of a Report Card by inserting a section for Freeform notes. While it won't be organized into tables (I'm thinking of the way you can create tables in Microsoft Word), you can use this without having to create a custom Crystal Report.
However, depending on how large this table would need to be (how many goals your school ends up having), this may not work and Candace's suggestion of a Crystal Report might be a good idea to investigate.
