Hi,
I am a new user in my organization and I would like to know how can check if the Raiser's Edge 7.84 cumulative patch 3 was was installed in our system.
Thank you,

Carmen,
You can find the info on your version and/or patches by going to the Help tab at the top of you window and looking at "About Raiser's Edge." How to read the info is explained in this knowledgebase solution.
Solution Number: BB79245
I was curious as to which was the latest patch. I looked up that number and the data doesn't relate to that article at all.
If my assumptions are correct, it looks like after going to Help>About, the last digit appears to be the last patch number that was applied. Mine shows 7.85.5086.3. So I'm running version 7.85.5086, with patch number 3. Hope this helps.
Knowledgebase BB79245 is not about the latest patch - it is how find the infomation in your software to see what version / patch you are running. I understood that to be her question.
For info on the "latest" patch, go to the download section of support.
I understood the question, what I'm saying is that my results were not as expected. Maybe I'm looking up BB79245 wrong then because that's not what I see when I do a search and they don't relate to what version / patch you are running. The topics are all over the place. Though it's not the first time I've encountered problems looking up a specific number for a knowledge base article (that I had previously printed out).
I see:
What are target tags
Unable to go back to the previous address when validating in interactive mode
Organization is listed as the constituent...
etc. etc.
When you get a KB article ID you do not use the search field (although I agree you should be able to).
You go to Knowledgebase and use the link to the left which says "open solution number" a window will pop up which you can enter the number in.
You will have to allow popups to get the "solution number" window.
I guess that's the problem. Normally I use the search field. When I tried the Open solution number I had to click it twice for the pop-up to show.
Thanks, Melissa, maybe that will correct the odd errors I get. I've been using RE for a while, but since I am the only one using it, (and not my main job), I get stretched pretty thin doing setup, data and gift entry, net solutions, membership, reports, etc. I tend to forget what I haven't used lately.
One thing to be aware of is that becaues all updates are cumulative, so if you are on any version higher than 7.84 with patch 3, you have all the fixes included in that patch.
Also, when we introduce our new Knowledgebase, you will be able to enter the solution ID number in the search field and open up the intended solution.
