I am having a donor recognition event for loyal donors - I am stuck on what to write for the invitation - does anyone have invitation text they can share?  I'm looking for something more than "Your invited...etc"  Since the event is to honor these donors I'm looking for something different.

Hi Julianne,

I've done donor recognition events for high dollar donors and worded the invitation as:

The Chairman of (name of organization), (chairman's name) invites you and a guest to join him at the (name of the event) In your Honor as a (level of giving) Member

and then of course the date, time and place with an RSVP

note if transportation is needed from an airport (or somewhere) if you can provide that and if it is black tie, business casual or professional attire.

Also, I always put my cell phone number so if someone is on their way and runs into a problem they can call me at any time whether I'm at the event already or not.
