We have department budgets based on direct costs for internal director reporting and fully-loaded department budgets for a comprehensive total picture.  The fully-loaded budget versions require a significant amount of external worksheet data manipulation.  Although I think this is mostly unavoidable, I would like to find out how others are perhaps using some of the tools and options offered in FE to simplify indirect cost allocation in the budget process.  We don't have the allocation module and I don't think it's appropriate for us at this juncture.  RIght now, our indirect costs are identified primarily via program attribute, a system that pre-dated my arrival here.

I'd appreciate hearing how others approach this process.
