Does anyone know if it's possible to create an AR Aging report that will give the aging information by project rather than Client??  Possibly through use of attributes??

Unfortunately, at this time I don't think AR aging report can show projects. It is out there as a suggestion though, so I added you to the list.

Depending on what you're using this report for in this case, you could use the General Ledger report filtered by your Accounts Receivable summary account. Let me know if this helps.

This is the first time that I have looked at the forums, and given the date of your question, you may have already arrived at a solution.  We wanted the same breakdown by department and couldn't get that.  We looked firstly at the client attributes, but in our situation, one client may actually be billed for service under more than one department/project.

 We ultimately determined that the easiest and most accurate way to generate these segregated reports was to create billing items unique to each department.  So instead of having a general billing item of "Client fees" (we are not a school), we used "Domestic Violence Shelter Stay."  It was some work up front, but well worth the effort.
