Anyone have any insights on Papersave/Raiser's Edge?

    Hello!

We are looking to possibly implement Papersave to store correspondence with donors, gift agreeements, etc. within the Raiser's Edge rather than continuing to maintain hard files.  Are there any current Papersave/RE users out there who would be willing to share some of their insights/likes/dislikes/etc regarding the software itself and the integration between Papersave and RE?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

    Hi Travis!

We have used Papersave for 9 months. It is wonderful to be able to pull up documentation on gifts, proposals, pledges, etc. without going to hard files.

However, a barcoded Papersave cover sheet is needed for every transaction to be scanned into RE. So if you have 150 gifts, 150 Papersave Gift Documentation sheets are needed and each check and backup item has to be sandwiched in between a Papersave Documentation sheet.

After scanning the document queue needs to be checked and each document has to be approved for data entry  and the envelopes that come in with the gift need to be matched up with the paperwork.

So I'm not so sure it saves paper! But it's a great tool for capturing history in one place.

    Hi Darcy,

We will be looking into docuement imaging this year.  I wondered if anyone would like to share their insights into Papersave (PS) or any other document imagaing software.  How it integrates with RE and how you like it and if  you were able to bring your costs down on ordering paper.

Dary, it's been 10 months but I was wondering if you were still using PS?  and if you liked it.  Also, you mentioned if you have 150 gifts, then you need 150 PS documentation sheets, is this still true?

Why couldn't you scan all gifts for that year and use one P.S. documentation sheet, for example?   150 sheets seems like defeating the purpose of using PS.

I'm sending this out again because I don't think it was sent out:
