Responsible for developing maximum utilization of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Illinois’s databases including assurance of data integrity, data extraction, report customization, and analysis.  Supports staff with use of Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge, The Financial Edge, and other software.  Responsible for managing I/T consultants in development and maintenance of overall I/T structure, including Foundation’s network, hardware, software and e-mail systems.

Major Responsibilities:

• Work across departments to identify efficiency improvements through utilization of technology and enhanced information access, including analysis and segmentation of data and development of customized queries and reports.
• Manage the Foundation’s databases, particularly in establishing standards and ensuring compliance, maintaining system backup procedures, developing and performing quality control reviews, researching new developments (including clean-ups, conversions, upgrades, etc.), and implementing new tools/processes/procedures.
• Manage outsourced I/T consultants to maintain server infrastructure, PCs and related equipment, software, and e-mail systems.
• Provide user support for hardware and software, including but not limited to training staff on use of applications, setting up user accounts, performing system backups, and basic software installations.
• Provide technical support for website (externally hosted), and other online initiatives.
• Manage storage of electronic data, including management of network folders.
• Serve as primary liaison with hardware and software vendors.
• Serve as a key contact with Make-A-Wish Foundation of America (“National Office”) in representing chapter on Blackbaud Program.
• Prepare I/T budget and manage to the approved budget.
• Other duties as assigned.  

• Proficient in database management.
• Experience with Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge preferred.  Knowledge of The Financial Edge is a plus.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite software, and report writing software such as Crystal Reports.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and system development.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical and decision-making ability.

• Highly detail oriented. 

• 3 to 5 years related experience
• Bachelor’s degree.
