Whats the best way to setup security to allow access based on Grade level.. For example....

Certain staff can access student records for K - 12 grade but not Graduate School level.

Kim- The easiest way to allow access based on Grade Level is to create a Query for each Grade Level and then give Users access to the appropriate Query. You can designate this by going to Administration, Setup System Security. Here you can open a User and go to the Student Security tab. You can Allow Access to Selected Students and then choose the Query. This will allow you to specify which Students a User can view.

Alternatively, if your Graduate School students marked with a specific status or enrolled in a specific school, you can create the Query Ryan mentioned by simply using the following criteria:

    Current School = Graduate School

    or

    Current Status = Graduate Student

There's some great stuff on Query in the Query User Guide if you need more help!
