    Field Type Conversion

I have a field that exported as a text field or string and I'd like to convert it to currency.  The data in the field is in the format $x,xxx.00.  I've written a series of formulas that remove the dollar sign, comma and the .00.  Therefore, if the field originally had $1,000.00 in it, after the removals the final formula displays as 1000.  However, when I try to convert this to currency using CCur I get the error that the string is non-numeric.

Anybody have any ideas how I can convert this field to currency or numeric?

     Thanks,

You could try to use ToText() function.
