    FE Version 7.77.245 (?)

Has anyone upgraded to Financial edge 7.77.245?  I noticed they are on patch 2 after only 7 days.

For those of you who have upgraded, is it worth it?  We are experiencing performance and data entry issues in Payroll 7 in version 7.75.259 patch 15.  I am hoping the upgrade will resolve some of the issues we are having, but I do not want to introduce others.

    Thanks
    Matt

Hi Matt - We did an upgrade for a client and it resulted in significant performance gains.  So far, there do not appear to be any issues, at least none that we have discovered as yet.  They have GL, AP, PGE, FA and Advance Security for modules.  We are very pleased with the switch, especially when moving from MSDE SQL to SQL Express.  To be prudent, I would do the upgrade on a separate stand alone machine before I did the live database.  Make sure you run every report, every process and and every query before you do the live system.  I generally have my clients run through every major process of each sub-system and then run reports that are compared to the same on the live system before we make the final committment to upgrading the database.  This is especially important if you make the switch from MSDE to SQL Express as there is NO GOING BACK once the database has been converted...(Except for uninstalling the server, re-installing MSDE and restoring from a backup that is.), but who wants to go through that.  Better to run extensive tests first.  Hope this helps.
