    Does anyone have a recommendation (or 2) for good hotels near the convention center?  All of the rooms in the immediate vicinty are sold out,but I don't mind driving a few miles for a nice place.  Am more than willing to offer rides back and forth for those interested.

    Craig, there are several hotels within driving distance of the conference center - Quality Inn, Sheraton, Marriott etc. although many of these have no doubt taken the overflow. Google hotels/motels for North Charleston and you'll be able to see many of them. I know this is not of great help to you, however, it's a start.
