Need a query that lists this year's gift / pledge and last year's gift/pledge

I need to create a query for our headmaster that includes:

    Primary Addressee
    Constituent Code
    Gift Amount - 2008-2009
    Gift Amount - 2007 - 2008
    Home Phone

I can get most of it, but I can't get it to show two different years for the same campaign ID (Annual Giving).

    Can anyone please help me?

    Thanks!

You can do a consitutent profile that gives you an individual - are you trying to do all your donors? or a New Comparative Report  I tried to post a snapshot but can't ...sorry. hope this helps

    Hi Alison,

On the output tab of your query, you'll see summary information at the bottom of your available fields list.  Select summary for gift.  Select total amount of gifts, and then set your criteria for 2007-2008 using the campaign ID equals Annual Giving and the gift date field with the between operator for your date ranges.  Repeat these steps for 2008-2009, select the gift amount again from the summary for gift information and set your criteria for the second time.  See Knowledgebase article BB237530.

When you run the query, you will get two fields for gift summary information based on the your criteria you set.  It's like a gift query within a constituent query.

I think this should help.  If not, let me know.

Also, I think it may behoove you to create new campaigns each year, such as Annual Giving 2007, Annual Giving 2008.  This allows for easier reporting,  If you need to tie your annual giving gifts to a particular account to reconcile with your finance dept, use the same fund record over and over.  Fund records are recycled because you set up gl accounts numbers in fund records and not campaign records.  Reference knowledgebase article BB169803.
