    Payer Centric vs. Student Centric

We are converting to Blackbaud and would like to know if anyone is payer centric and if that creates any problems with reconciling,

viewing reports or any other areas. If anyone is payer centric and is quite happy with it, I would also like your feedback on how it has worked

    for you.

Re: Payer Centric vs. Student Centric

I was against payer centric when it first came out but had no choice.  Now, I can't see using the system any other way,  We have many families that have one payer for multiple students and receipting a check is easy since they all appear under the distribution tab.  I think it is also an advantage when you have parents paying proportional amounts for different items, particularly when it is not a 50/50 split.

I have no problems reconciling since the student's account shows all that is owed for that student.
