    Donor Wall

We are currently in the process of upgrading our donor wall.  The wall has not been updated for some time and the look of wall is changing.  Some of the donors that are currently on the wall may not have all of their giving history entered in Raisers Edge  (due to lack of  computerized record keeping in the early years), so when the information is exported from Raisers Edge they may not fit the current donor wall criteria.  We want to ensure that if they are listed on the current wall that they appear on the new wall.  I would like to add a code somewhere on their constituent record indicating that even though their giving level information in Raisers Edge is not at the minimum level required to appear on the donor wall they are on the wall because of their historical giving.

Does anyone have a suggestion of what this code could be and where I could put this information?

    Marlene-

We've got an attribute called "Recognition Override" which is numeric and we enter the amount that a donor should be recognized at, regardless of what RE shows. Now, pulling the information out of RE is a little more complicated. We used some custom SQL scripts that we've written that collate the information together. However, this isn't required. If you use a query or export, you could just output that attribute and factor it into your sorting.

We use Donor Category table in Attributes tab and each entry has a giving level, we choose the level to recognize them at (i.e. $5,000 - $9,999) and then in the comments section we type the name they want to be recognized (i.e. Jane Doe, In loving memory of Dr. Hirschberg).

We use attributes to list that information. We have different size plaques and we have a name for each size plaque. So in the attribute the category is Donor Wall and then in description is where we list the name for the size plaque. We also have an exception in the description area and then we make any notes in the comment field.

In Attributes we have both a Giving Donor Category as well as a Giving Grandfather Category.  Both categories have the same giving levels but the Grandfather category was created because, like you, we had donors who were on our wall without having their RE record reflect a giving history at X amount.
