DEVELOPMENT DATABASE COORDINATOR (Job Code DDC) 1 FT Position 

Responsibilities:

• Oversees, maintains and troubleshoots Raiser’s Edge database, including daily data entry, gift tracking, monthly giving, receipting, special events activity, campaigns and funds. Including ongoing quality control of database information
• Ensures the accuracy and integrity of all donor-related data contained in Raiser’s Edge donor database.
• Performs complex data searches and exports to produce detailed and accurate reports derived from donor database for use in mailings, data analysis, annual report, prospect analysis and appeal/campaign analysis
• Works with vendor in managing the Chapter’s direct marketing response program, including direct mail and online giving.
• Manages multiple vendor relationships pertaining to donor data.
• Provides analytical and decision-support reports, strategic file segmentations, personalized acknowledgement letters, procedures manuals, process documentation and training to Development staff and others within the chapter, as needed.
• Provides customer service, both internally and externally, by responding to requests, identifying solutions, and providing services related to donor data within The Raiser’s Edge database.
• Provides capacity-building solutions that enhance the utilization of chapter data and expand fundraising and other revenue-generating strategies. Researches and identifies opportunities to improve and expand business practices and resources.
• Provides basic and upper-level training to Development on the use of The Raiser’s Edge database and determines additional ways for lines of service to maximize use of donor data in support of chapter goals.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, directly related experience is required.
• A minimum of two years experience in fundraising and data base management using The Raiser’s Edge software.
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, exhibit resourcefulness, and work effectively with diverse groups, including internal and external customers, and vendors is required. Commitment to strict confidentiality of donor information. Demonstrated experience in customer service.
• Impeccable oral, written and presentation skills are required. Mastery of Microsoft Office products essential

Preferred: 

• A combination of technical database skills as well as business and direct marketing skills is desirable.
• Experience with relational databases, accounting practices and understanding of technical report writing is highly desirable.

Schedule:   M – F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The American Red Cross is a 24/7 operation.
Wage: $39k per year + benefits. Benefits include health, dental, 401K, 403B, retirement, 10 paid holidays a year, 15 days of paid time off in the first year of employment, 20 days of paid time off in the second year.
