Job Summary
This position conducts research necessary to the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. The individual will maintain assigned prospect portfolios, analyze financial data, and identify major gift prospects and suspects utilizing electronic searching methodologies and creative research techniques. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the Director, Prospect Management / Major Gift Officer to create a proactive prospect pipeline for major gift fundraising.
Essential Functions:
1.
Identify and qualify new prospects and suspects, manage prospects for major gift and high-end annual fund programs – (30%)
2.
Conduct research as needed to support $25K + plus solicitations (25%)
3.
Support the cultivation and solicitation process, develop, identify and create strategies to strengthen moves management process (20 %)
4.
Develop and produce bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly productivity reports to provide analysis to program directors (10%)
5.
Manages and provides necessary reports and information at the Prospect Management/ Major Gift meetings with the Major Gifts staff to ensure that Moves plans are action-oriented and implemented in a timely fashion.

6.
Manage tracking and administration of proposals and multi-year pledges (5%)

·
Memorial Foundation staff shall have limited access to PHI (i.e. demographics) necessary to accomplish their designated tasks (i.e. lists of VIPs, donor mailings).

Safety Requirements:

Is knowledgeable of, observes and complies with hospital Codes of Safe Practice, safety policies and emergency procedures.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
·
Education:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university
Experience:
Minimum of three to five years in the Development field
Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills and have ability to effectively manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.
Excellent writing, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Experience with online databases and strong computer skills.
Keen analytical ability and ability to synthesize complex information from diverse sources into useful deliverables for front-line fundraisers.
Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising database
.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
·
Work in a healthcare fund raising program
·
Minimum two years experience in fundraising prospect research
·
Familiarity with North Orange County
Environmental Conditions:
Normal office environment with limited exposure to adverse conditions
