I love chat support! It is so easy and convenient. Thank you so much for implementing it as an alternative. I am strongly encouraging our other users to try it.

When we recently updated to 7.91, it was so easy to ask questions on chat and get timely answers. Chat allowed me and our IT department to both participate together in the discussion and get answers to all our questions quickly.

You'll be able to subscribe to Alerts via email or RSS feeds, which you should be able to add to Yahoo Pipes. The only option for subscribing to solutions is via email.

On occasion we include links to forum threads and third-party sites like Microsoft's in KB solutions. Maintaining them becomes a challenge, as you pointed out. Our future vision is to expand the KB search to include forums along with the rest of our website. To start, we're including user guides, which we're really excited about.

Mostly looks good. There are some little fiddly things fixed (frames and back button, for example) but the one thing I especially like is the option to subscribe to a solution to be notified automatically if it's updated. It also looks like existing solution IDs will remain the same, which is good.

Often - particularly where there isn't a simple answer to a question - there are a number of ways to tackle the problem via other functionality, workarounds, etc. Has any thought been given to linking from KB to relevant discussions on the Blackbaud forums - or even on external sites, such as BlackBUS? For example, it would be a great addition to solution BB10348 if it linked to www.blackbus.org/.../4861-constituency-code-confusion.html.

Obviously there are issues with maintaining these links, and they'd need to come with the appropriate caveats - "Blackbaud takes no responsibility for the contect of external sites" - but these sort of discussions can often be the most useful thing for a user.
