The August issue of Nonprofit Fiscal Fitness was sent earlier this week.  In this issue, Blackbaud's information security manager, Jake Marcinko, wrote an article discussing the changes in the credit card industry and the impact to nonprofits. Read the article.

Also this week, an email was sent to all primary contacts for organizations which use Accounts Receivable 7, Cash Receipts 7, or Student Billing 7. Beginning in version 7.77 of The Financial Edge, The Education Edge, and Blackbaud Student Information System, the Credit Card Number field on payments will display only the last four digits of the credit card number. For new payments, users will not be able to enter the entire credit card number. For existing payments, on which the entire credit card number was previously displayed, the rest of the credit card number will be removed and users will not be able to retrieve this data.
