How Long Has It Been Since You Changed Your Password?

Do you remember the last time you changed your Financial Edge password? If you can't, then it's time for a change. For security reasons, you should change your password regularly.

Log into The Financial Edge.
Select Edit, Change Password from the menu bar.
Note: If Change Password is grayed out, contact your supervisor to grant you security rights to change your password.
Enter the old password and then enter the new password twice.

For versions 7.75 and lower, the password cannot be more than 8 characters.
For versions 7.77 and higher, the password must be at least 8 characters, and contains at least 1 letter and 1 number.

Click OK.
Exit and sign out and then log back into The Financial Edge.

Remember: change your passwords regularly for all Blackbaud products. Talk to you soon!

That's right!

Beginning with the release of The Financial Edge 7.77 new users in the system will require a strong password when being setup. This requirement will not be changing for existing users, but if a change is made to the existing user in system security that requires the user record be saved, the new password will need to adhere to the new strong password rules.

What is a STRONG Password?

For The Financial Edge, a strong password will be one that consists of at least 8 characters, and contains at least 1 letter and 1 number. Some examples include:
