They'll compete against each other until the acquisition goes through. After that I'm sure they will merge and eliminate redundant products and cross sell the heck out of us.

I'm curious about the statement that "both companies will perform as separate units, competing with each other as they did prior to this announcement". That seems a bit odd to me.

Why would Blackbaud compete against itself now? Wouldn't it be in the commpany's best interest to properly market the appropriate product to the right client.

As a client I want to know that my vendor is recommending the ebst tools for the job - not just trying to outdo itself.
