BlackbaudTV Launches to Provide Online Portal for Nonprofit Video
Charleston, S.C. (July 29, 2010) – Blackbaud, Inc (Nasdaq: BLKB) today announced the launch of BlackbaudTV, a new resource for the nonprofit community, with videos featuring nonprofit news, technology tools and tips, philanthropy in action, Blackbaud customers, partners, and events. 

To celebrate the launch, Blackbaud is holding the BlackbaudTV Inspire Contest to encourage nonprofit professionals to submit a video in response to the question “How do you inspire supporters to take action?” Each video response submitted will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two free registrations to the 2010 Blackbaud’s Conference for Nonprofits – North America (drawing being held August 20) and one of two iPads (drawing being held October 21). Blackbaud Announces “Cultivating Lifelong Donors: Stewardship and the Fundraising Pyramid,” a New Book and Corresponding Web Seminar Series

Charleston, S.C. (July 26, 2010) – Blackbaud, Inc., (Nasdaq: BLKB) has released a new book Cultivating Lifelong Donors: Stewardship and the Fundraising Pyramid covering best practices for building long-term giving programs. The nonprofit software and services company is also hosting a free web seminar series that will bring to life the topics covered in each chapter of the book. Nonprofit professionals can visit Blackbaud’s website to download a complimentary electronic copy of the book and register for the free web seminar series.

“The Cultivating Lifelong Donors book and web seminar series are designed to help nonprofits build giving programs that span the entire supporter lifecycle,” said Lawrence Henze, managing director of Target Analytics and co-author of the book. “As we wrote the book and developed the seminars, we wanted to help nonprofits build strategies for cultivating donors from initial engagement up through ultimate giving.”

Each session will build on the content from the previous session, so nonprofits can get a full overview of how to build strategies and action plans to maximize fundraising results. Target Analytics Launches ProspectResearch.com, an Online Community for Prospect Researchers and Fundraising Professionals

Charleston, S.C. (July 21, 2010) - Target Analytics, a Blackbaud company, (Nasdaq: BLKB), today announced the launch of ProspectResearch.com, a site designed specifically for prospect researchers and fundraising professionals. The site will focus on fostering new ideas for research practices and promoting the benefits of prospect research in fundraising. The company is also announcing its involvement with the Association of Prospect Researchers for Advancement (APRA) at the 23rd Annual International Conference being held in Anaheim, California on July 21 to 24.

The Blackbaud Index of Online Giving Reports 23 Percent Growth

Charleston, S.C. (July 15, 2010) – Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB) today announced the launch of The Blackbaud Index of Online Giving, an online fundraising index that reports revenue trends of 1,787 nonprofit organizations representing $399 million in 12 month online revenue on a monthly basis. The Index is based on actual revenue statistics from nonprofit organizations using a variety of fundraising systems, both from Blackbaud and other vendors. It represents organizations of all sizes from the following sectors: arts, culture, and humanities; education; environment and animals; healthcare; human services; international affairs; and public and society benefit. “Blackbaud has been engaged with supporting online giving for nonprofits for more than a decade now,” said Steve MacLaughlin, Blackbaud’s director of Internet solutions. “The Blackbaud Index of Online Giving is the next step in sharing trends and insights into what is happening in the nonprofit sector.”

The Blackbaud Index of Online Giving released today reports that online revenue increased by 23 percent for the three months ending May 2010 as compared to the same period in 2009. Along with the launch of The Blackbaud Index of Online Giving today, Blackbaud released additional data and analysis that reports on organizations by size. The Index found that three-month online revenue for small organizations (prior 12 month total revenue of < $1 million) increased 13.1 percent in May, while revenue at medium organizations (prior 12 month total revenue of $1 – 10 million) increased 21.3 percent, and revenue at large organizations (prior 12 month total revenue of > $10 million) increased 28 percent.

Blackbaud Conference for Nonprofits to Feature Leading Experts on Social Media for Social Change

 

Charleston, S.C. (July 8, 2010) – Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB) today announced two of the three featured presentations that will take place at its annual Conference for Nonprofits in Washington, D.C. on October 20 to 22, 2010. New to the Conference this year, there will be a Technology Keynote session, featuring Allison Fine and Beth Kanter, best-selling authors of the recently-released book “The Networked Nonprofit.” The Conference will also feature a Social Media for Nonprofits Ignite! event with leading social media experts from Causes, TwitPic, Twitter, and YouTube.

Blackbaud’s 2010 Conference for Nonprofits — North America is one of the top two largest nonprofit technology conferences in the world. It will provide nonprofit professionals with three days of specialized educational content and opportunities to network and interact with peers and nonprofit experts. This year’s Conference will be held at a new location—The Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center at National Harbor. 

The Technology Keynote session, featuring Allison Fine and Beth Kanter, will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Allison Fine, author and speaker, will lead a conversation about how nonprofits can scale social change using social media and networks. Beth Kanter, author of Beth’s Blog, chief executive officer of Zoetica, and visiting scholar at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation will make a virtual guest appearance.

The Social Media for Nonprofits Ignite! event will take place on Wednesday, October 20 at 5 p.m. and will feature representatives from leading social media platforms.
